Growing lettuce

Growing lettuce indoors on a sunny windowsill is easy and very rewarding. Simply use the throw away base of the lettuce you buy from the grocery store.

 

 

 

Cut off the base of the plant about an inch from the bottom.

 

 

 

 

Place it in a container of warm water and

put in a sunny windowsill. In a few days

leaves will begin to emerge from the base.
